Birding Tours in São Tomé & Príncipe
São Tomé & Príncipe punch far above their size for birding — 28 endemic bird species across just over 1,000 km² of land, earning the islands their "African Galápagos" fame. Obô Natural Park alone holds more than 143 recorded species, including the Dwarf Olive Ibis, the São Tomé Short-tail, the Giant Sunbird and Giant Weaver.
The Príncipe forests add the Príncipe Sunbird, Príncipe Golden Weaver and Dohrn's Thrush-Babbler, with Rolas Island completing the islands' compact, list-chasing route.
